Awesome!!! Congrats
I trapped nuisance Alligators here in Hancock county for a few years. 7ft and under we had to relocate them (they were still Federally protected at that time - no open seasons). If 7ft 1in or larger we harvested if we wanted. Tags back then were $25 per harvested Gator. We had to tag the hides to legally sell them. Now we generally didn't harvest one under 9-10ft as when relocating them most worked their way back around someone's house. A quick story, I left one, a female, about 300 pounds hog tied and duct taped in the back of my Wife's pickup for the night, it was late when I came in from catching and about 3am it started rolling in the truck bed trying to get free. My Wife woke me saying "there is a loud noise out in the driveway". I told go back to sleep it's just a 300 pound Alligator rolling around in the back of your truck. She sat straight upright in the bed and said "WHAT". We were just married then and I don't think She really knew who She married at the time. (Still on Good Behavior)![]()
