sorry for you loss Ed. we all know how much she meant to you and your wife. some folks don't get mourning for a pet but they are part of the family and it does hurt. we are going thru issues with our pommi liver and gall bladder when she is all stove up one day and with our good vet's attention and proper medication she has rallied back but can see end times coming and my wife will be devastated as she has had her from pup.
Glad you have her sons to console you but it still will hurt for a while.
Sorry Slab. Abbey was a great dog and my daughter loved her (pictured above), never will forget several years ago at the Missouri Spring Camp Bill Bob was watching Abbey for you while you went in the restroom in that time Bill Bob let my daughter and her friend walk Abbey.
As they walked by the restroom you came out and told them that was your dog. lol The girls started yelling stranger danger and ran back to Bill Bob which he told that that Abbey was your dog. lol
I feel your pain, losing a dog tears me up, you just have to remember she had a great life that other dogs just dream about.
