What's your speed when you push like that?
also if you're presenting your bait at 7 feet, do you let out 7 feet or do you have to account for the crankbait diving any at all?

It will vary from day to day, and sometimes even from early morning to mid morning.

this particular day 1.5 mph 6am till round 8:30 then they wanted it faster. ended the morning at 2.2 mph

But trip before this was 2.1 to 2.5 all morning.

If I was gonna target fish at 7 ft deep @ 1.5 mph pushing I would let out
around 8ft on 4 rods and 9 ft on other 4 and let the fish tell me what they like, then adjust accordingly.
I use 4 ft leaders under 3oz of weight. I am guessing the bait to run 12-16 inches under the weight.

If your traveling quicker and you want to stay at 7 ft will have to let more line out to reach target depth.
more speed will cause more line angle.
