Nice looking jig! It can be habit forming tying your own jigs!

Good article, and spot on. Been tying about 5 years now and have lots of fun with it. Something to do on days I can't fish.

I got that disease years ago! I have 16 12"x12" storage bins of material, craft hair, marabou, crystal flash, then it expanded to pouring own heads, injection soft plastic molds...very addictive . the best part, the happy place you go when you catch a limit or the fish of your life on your own creation! beautiful jig! enjoyed the article!

Catching a nice bunch of crappie on a jig that you create and on a fishing rod you build is a excellent form of emotional therapy. I have been tying jigs and building rods and fishing for many years. Life has it's ups and downs and I know that when I do these things during these down times that they lift my spirits back to the plus side. Cost wise it is also cheaper than a psychiatrist!!!!!!
