    That story made my day. What a wonderful thing to do for some young kid. You probably made his entire summer with your unselfish gift. I hope I meet up with you on the water one day to thank you in person!

    I know exactly how happy you made that young boy. As a child I was raised on an orphanage. I loved to fish. There was a nice lake there and a short hike to the Willamete River. I had no pole or tackle. One of the guys that worked there bought me a rod reel and some tackle. I was a tough little kid. I could stand all the pain in the world and never cried. That generous gift taught me many lessons and gave me a lifetime of enjoyment. Since I have returned the favor to many kids.nothing in the world could have made that boy happier. It also taught him a valuable lesson. Compassion
