Thanks for sharing but I can't understand not liking nice weather all the time.

I tend to spend my time wearing the covers off of various fishing catalogs.

Winter means sauger fishing.

I try my best to use this time to build rods and pour jigs and weights but it can be hard to get motivated. We also fish all winter long so that helps too.

We are lucky here in MN to have a soft water season and a hard water season; So we have a four to five month hard water season that helps keep the depression periods short.
Right now it is time to tune up and get the ice fishing gear ready to go.

Your dog looks depressed take him/her fishing maybe give him/her a milkbone. I live in Okla winters can be cold, summers can be hot but a lot of days are fishable. I like your ideas for the days that are not safe for fishing.
