I have a 6 year old Granddaughter that lives in FL and me in TN. There's lots of love between her, my wife and I , and of course , my daughters too. Being separated is difficult, and our time together is precious little. Enjoy that relationship, as you already know it will get hard to get the time together as life gets in the way.
