Strangely, I too am a zoo keeper, elephant trainer but in middle Ga. Lake Jackson to be precise. Crappie are biting good and VERY agressive if you can get a Jig anywhere near them at least very late afternoon's when I'm out and about. A gazillion small shad on top of the water in small pods all over the lake and they are feeding on them pretty good. Don't remember ever seeing this many shad on top here and another semi strange thing is the crappie have rocket packs attatched to there tails right now. Moving so fast hard to track with livescope and I'm very good but if you can get a jig in front or to be precise just above them they will bite. Scott

I agree with Ultraslab! Wednesday morning. Tons of small fish but some good ones too.

The stripers are biting on Clarks hill. We caught over a hundred Fri-Sun fishing in the early mornings each day. Mostly small, but a lot of eaters and a lot of fun. My thumb is raw from handling them.....

Sweet, hoping it was a top water bite. I realy realy miss the top water action at Lanier and Clarks Hill before I moved to Jackson and got too lazy to trailer the boat and go places. I'm still living the dream but I do miss fishing the outstanding lakes. Scott

Still catching them on Clarks Hill. My best buddy, his son, and grand daughter joined in last week. 3 generations in one boat for her birthday. We had a blast and now she wants it to be an annual trip!
See the post and pic in the SC forum.
