This past weekend was only my 2nd trip out with mine and pulled a 30pc at Blackshear,I'm nowhere near an expert but I've done alot of research and know a bunch that have 'Scope. Make sure you put a disconnect switch on the black box to your battery. It pulls a continuous draw and will drain your battery. You also want to run the graph and black box on a separate battery from other appliances on your boat to reduce interference. I purchased a Li-Time 100ah lithium, watch their website they run good sales. Probably don't need one that big, but you will charge it more often. Next, get on YouTube and look up Garmin Guru, watch his video titled Livescope Masterclass A-Z: Your Last Guide Ever, it's a wheelbarrow ton of knowledge!!! It will answer many questions. I was very skeptical about going to Livescope for sportsmanship reasons. I'm not for the sniping(watching the jig all the way to their mouth). I use to see how many fish are on a certain structure/brushpile/dock, and if it's worth spending time or move to the next one. Also I compare it to my other graphs, I can't honestly say I've ever been 100% confident in using sonar, so it's a confidence tool. See the fish's depth then make my presentation just above them and just fish like I did before purchasing the Scope. Hope this helps, bobbers down and tight lines!!!
