    Default COMBO TROLLING JACKSON LAKE

Jackson Lake is about 15 minutes away for Jim and I. We had not fished it in years as Oconee had spoiled us. Yesterday we decided to try combo trolling on Jackson for a change. We caught lots and lots of fish. I don't think we went more than 5-10 minutes all day without catching a fish. The bite was good and we put back a lot of 10 inch fish. We did manage 8 fish 11 inches or better and it was good to be back on the water. The water was perfect with a bit of stain. There was a lot of trash on the water in places which we were able to avoid. The water temperature was 52-53 degrees. I was trolling double 1/16's and I also added a split shot (1/24 or 1/16) to a couple of rods. We caught fish on all the rods. We trolled 1 mph. Jim fished his usual setup which is a 3/4 oz trolling sinker and a 1/16 ounce jig head about 20 inches below the trolling sinker. I found out my rain gear would keep me dry if the rain evaporated before it hit the ground. I got wet! I hope you enjoy the video. I'm working on the quality.
