Jim and I fished Lake Oconee yesterday. We had a good day and ended with 13 fish in the 11-14.5 inch range. We kept 10 fish for the skillet and released the 3 biggest fish. The water temperature was 53-55 degrees. We had 3 fish at 12:30. We decided to put the boat back on the trailer and move to another location. We were back on the water at 1:30. The fishing from 1:30 to 3:00 was slow but we managed to catch a few more in the 11 inch range. After 3:00 the big girls came out and the bite got much better. We rolled it up at 4:30 and headed back to Jackson. We combo trolled 1 mph and caught fish on several different colors. The Tennessee Shad, Charlie Brewer white/chart and June Bug were all good patterns. We enjoyed our day on the water. More rain on the way.
