I fished Banks a few times, mostly bass and pickerel, good bass lake when I was there. There are some managed crappie lakes and the Canoochee River on Fort Stewart a little over an hour east of Hazelhurst. Beautiful little river, not full of crappie, but they are there, along with bass, stripers, redbreast, etc. I'll add a couple of articles from Georgia Outdoor News also, maybe help you locate a few spots closer.
