you will have to practice with different size jigs . some time they like a fast fall and some times they like it slow.i us 6 Lb but some like 4 lb. for clear water 4 works best .i use a 5 Ft docks hooter mostly but i learned on a 41/2 ft rod . have used a7 Ft . t Ft will go futher but for me is harder to controle . i found when you change rods you have to change way you shoot .
