Hello all Crappie.com members. I will be giving a jig making demonstration at the Lake Blackshear slabfest. If you would like to learn how to make your own jigs please come on out and I will be glad to show you how. This is definately not a sales pitch because all I want to do is help my fellow crappie fisherman. I will be giving the demonstration probably late Friday evening. I will be tieing and pouring the bodies. In other words I will be doing the whole thing on making jigs. Its not hard and it is easy to get into and I know you will enjoy it. See ya at the Slabfest.

I know you can get some from just about any plumbing supply house in 5lb increments. Crappie day gets it from some place really cheep.
To heck with work, lets go fishing.
Hey ya'll. I used to pour my own heads but it is alot of hassle and you don't save that much money when you pour your own. I buy my heads already painted with the eyes dotted. The company I buy them from uses the powder coating method which helps because you don't find many eyelets that have paint in them. I buy my heads 1000 at a time.
can you mix colors or is it 1000 the same color?

Yes I can mix colors. I placed an order about a week ago for 1600 head and I am getting 4 different colors. My supplier charges me $85.00 per 1000 with a minimum order of $100. I can tell you that this company that I order from is a great company. They stand behind their products. They are strictly a wholesale company. When I get these heads in I will let you know. It is the busiest time of the year for these people and that is why it is taking so long to get this order.
Do you still make any for sale or just as a hobby...I know you use to have your buisness from what I understand If so I would like to try them..I saw some of your old jigs from the past at evans when I was down that way and I would love to purchase some if you still sale, they looked awesome or like fish or slab catchers
