This check was found in the middle of a field just east of Lake Blackshear near Cordele. 130 miles the way the crow flies from Enterprise, AL. It is slightly weathered and I feel pretty sure it blew in the night of the Americus tornado (20 miles west) last month. That was basically the same storm cell that hit Enterprise. I've blurred out the name on the check bit it is clearly visible. Gives new meaning to "Check Float".

Interesting, If you contact the bank and get in touch with the owner, the end of this story might be just as interesting. Keep us updated, please.
