Default Headed to Clark Hill - Wednesday 4/11

My wife and I are headed to Clark Hill Wed. and plan on staying through Sat. We'll be staying at Elijah Clark. Hopefully this cold front didn't stop the fish from biting. We plan on trolling Hal Flys and Tripple Ripples. If anyone has any information on fishing this area or Soap Creek, it will be appreciated. Haven't been to the Hill in over 10 years so I am really looking forward to this trip. Use to go every spring with my parents. This will be the first trip for my wife. Hopefully we will have some pictures to share when we get back.

The wife and I fished there in late march. Air temps were in the high 70's low 80's, and the water temps were 67 or 68. It was our first time there and although we didn't get many, I caught my personal best. We fished Soap Creek and Pistol Creek, doing better in Soap Creek, from the bridge upstream. The bridge, meaning the highway that your campground is on. You can probably get some info from guys hanging around the bait and tackle shop between you and Lincolnton. Some guys don't like to share info, but alot will. If you stop at the bait shop, Woods and Water, tell the owners the folks from Montrose, PA said hello.
