My wife was supposed to have surgery for uterine cancer in Columbus one the 27th of November but plans changed on the 24th when she had renal failure. She was admitted to the Colosseum hospital in Macon on the 24th and has been in the hospital since. She had kidney failure brought on by the cancer and started swelling from fluid retention and an intestinal blockage. The treatment she has gotten here has been absolutely awesome. Plans were changed and she started 3 rounds of chemo on December the 1st with her second round yesterday on the 22nd on a 21 day cycle. After her 3rd treatment they will do a scan and either do the surgery or more chemo depending on the results. She has been having dialysis 3 times a week but her kidneys are starting to wake back up and producing urine on their own. We know God has this and he is still in control and the great physician and will see us through this trial in our lives. Please keep praying for we see results every day. Our next hurdle is getting her out of the bed and walking again and getting her home.

Good luck to you and especially your wife. We, too, have been dealing with hospitals and doctors after my 20 year old daughter was in a car accident on October 19, which left her with a broken right foot and broken left hip. The hip was the worse of the two because it meant non weight bearing or in plainer words, no walking for approximately 10 weeks. She's getting close and we go to the docs again December 28 to see if she can start trying a walker and getting in the shower, which is what she says she's most ready for. We have a hospital bed set up in our living room and that's where she's been since she came home from the hospital.
The power or prayer, good family and friends will get you and your wife through it. Take care and Happy Holidays. GTT
