We decided to fish out of his G3 john boat since we were not going far from the ramp. It has a 20 hp motor. It's an easy boat to fish out of and has a low profile and a very quiet TM which may have helped. We weren't doing anything else different than we ever do. Who knows with all the boats in the area. This is the first time we have fished it on a big reservoir. It proved to be a fish catcher.

What is the name of those rod holders in your john boat? I have a friend who wants to rig his john boat for trolling. The ones you have look like they would work perfectly.

hey gentleman, I'm coming down from Cherokee next Tues-Wed looking for some slabs. Any advice on where to fish? Are they anywhere near Lick Creek right now? In Allatoona they're lots of fish in the creeks, in 10-15 feet of water.

I haven't fished Lick Creek but I'm sure others have and they can answer that question. I've heard good reports from the Richland Creek area. By the time you get here next week, I would think all the major creeks will be on fire. Consider Sugar Creek.
