    Default Submersible backup lights

For years I have tried to find submersible backup lights for my trailer. Looked for hours on the internet, gone by trailer dealers and looked thru their catalogs and have never found "submersible" backup lights. There are hundreds of water proof and water resistant led lights out there but no submersible. That being said I took matters into my own hands. Bought some 4" leds work lights from tractor supply for $30. They have a aluminum housing and a plastic lens. I took some marine epoxy resin and poured some in the groove between the lens and the housing. Then on the back, where the wires go into the housing. I completely sealed it up. Mounted these on the trailer and wired them up to my reverse lights. These do great in the mornings at dark boat ramps, when backing your trailer to load your boat, and after a day of fishing backing your boat at your house after dark, anytime when backing your boat. Below are pics to show how I sealed them up and where I mounted them. Hope this will give others ideas that will help them out when backing their trailers in dark areas.

Did you tie these into your trailer lights or run another plug from reverse lights on truck?

I used a standard 5 pole wiring harness and tapped into my reverse tail light wire.
