25 hp is the limit, and they will give you a ticket.

Yeah, its 25hp only. Not too big a deal since the part of the lake you can safely run any faster than idle is only a couple miles long.

So you can crank and use a big motor now?

My fishing partner got a ticket a few years back for idling his big motor.

Only 25hp or smaller is allowed. Sorry for the confusion. My point was that being limited to 25hp isn't too much of a hassle because outboards are of limited use. You can stay in the middle of the channel in the upper end of the lake and still hit stuff, so even with a 25hp you're not going much faster than a trolling motor. At least I'm not.

Got on the lake about 0530 and got the bushes dumped before daylight. I didn't realize it would be so far until I looked at the GPS. 5 mph in pitch black took a while!

Surface temp. was 83 this morning. I guess here in a few weeks, if All Seasons can keep some minnows available, I will find out if I put it in the right spot or not.

To be safe I'd remove the prop if I exceeded the 25 hp rating. It's just to be safe, not sorry in case you run into one of those trying to make a name for himself.

Well, the water dropped even more so the brush is nowhere near the thermocline. Checked it with a jig. I'm guessing the small rockfish meant no crappie around. Bream tapped jig pretty good, though. Surface T was 81 this morning.
