    Default GREAT MORNING ON OCONEE

Jim and I began fishing this morning about 7:00a.m. At 11:40 we had 33 good fish and rolled it up. The bite was steady from the beginning. We fished as we usually do with Jim pushing 8 rods and also pulling two 16 footers out of the front of the boat while I pulled 8 rods out of the back. The fish we caught were in the the mouth of the creek. We fished very deep and I had as much as 1/4 oz of weight on several of my rods. Jim had 18-20 feet of line out on his pushing rods with a 3/4 oz weight. The water temperature was 75 degrees when we began. The fish this morning seemed to be a bit bigger on average than the past couple of weeks. The largest fish of the day was 14 inches. We also heard good reports from mid lake.

    Great job.

Just had rotator cuff surgery. Ya'll are kilin' me with these reports. It'll be July before I am into rehab to rebuild my muscle strength back. Already missed my redfish & trout trip to LA this month.

I feel your pain. I've already had my left shoulder done. I've been putting off having the right one done. I hope your recovery goes well. The fish will be there when you get back at em.

Hobo I believe we will get our slice of the "humble pie" pretty soon. Oconee can be fickle.

Well like my oldest son said, "anybody that fishes 8 times a week ought to be able to catch some fish". I may have to write him out of the will for that.
