Ones around here have a little bit of everything and a whole lot of nothing. Not my favorite store by a long shot. Just my 2 cents. Billy

There's one in Raleigh NC, and when I went in there about 2 years ago, it was pretty much just like Billy said. They don't specialize in anything particular. Everything from golf, sports clothing, and weight lifting to a few fishing poles and a little camoflouge.

Been to the one in Macon a few years ago. Was not very impressed. They had a good selection of golf, biking and camping stuff, but not a lot of hunting or fishing stuff.
They have a lot of variety and aren't geared toward a certain sport. They mainly focus on sports clothing and team sports such as baseball and basketball. They have a decent amount of golf equipment also. I guess it's ok, but their crappie fishing supplies are pretty slim.

you might as well go to wally world.
....and what they do have is sorta like BPS....OVER PRICED!!
I think the Wally worlds around here have a better selection than Dicks! Whole lotta nothin in my opinion. I tried to buy a life jacket there in September and they told me that those were seasonal items come back in April they'd have em back out on the floor then! Ain't been back since.
I find the best deals at "Academy Sports".
Dick's bought out our local Galyan's chain here about two years ago. Changed the name on some existing stores, and closed out a lot of good fishing equipment. Like others have said, Wally World now has a better selection.
