agrees with everyone so far...Wally and academy sports are out best bargins in central Ga...Plus the employee's are most helpful to us old farts...The outdoor center in perry ga is awesome for crappie supplies also..its an old kmart and strickly towards fishing and hunting..Hard to leave there sometimes..Its kinda like a grown up toys r kids store if u know what I mean

Kind of like shoping at Kroger for motor oil. Wally world has a better selection and better prices. Sorry to say, don't get too fired up about that place going in...

ditto. Thier fishing supplies are a joke, at least at the Mall Of Georgia.

this is a depressing thread. It is depressing me! I was excited that we were getting a big name sporting store nearby. When looking for crappie stuff you hope for the best. Wally world doesn't have a great selection of crappie jigs. They are carrying wally marshalls corks this year maybe more they are still getting new stuff daily this month.

    I feel the same Smitty--they opened I went 1 time--better to drive 35mi to Macon B.P.than 9mi to Dicks or Wal-Mart.

They are ok for general or beginner stuff. Not high quality or too cheap.

ironic that you dug up this thread.. The fella that started it just died 3/21...

Dick's is not for a crappie fisherman..except @ clearance time in late summer..
