    Long Shoal Ramp on Oconee.

Start with single 1/16 jigs with dark head (red, blue, black) and with blk/bl/char bodies. Troll .9-1 mph. I also use two 1/24 jigs and do well with them. If you quit getting bit, try different colors and jigs. Have a main (catching) color out and a few "lets see if they like this" jigs out. When you turn your boat around, speed up through the turn. It will keep your lines from tangling up if you turn too sharp.

Don't crowd other boats. If you ask questions, most crappie fisherman will give you a little info. It's up to you to learn and put it together. That's what I did 30 years ago and am still learning.

    Good luck!
