Howard was one of the best. Good man all around and proud to have known him. Got to fish with him a little while back at West Point when he met me down there prefishing a tournament. With all he had going on, he still was cutting up and having fun. He could tell you stories that would make your gut hurt from laughing, yet they were true. No way he could have made up some of the things he had been through. He never would let on to anyone how he was really doing. He always projected happiness. Gonna miss him, but I am sure he is happier fishing in the big pond with no more worries.
