    Default Blackshear or Oconee.....we chose?

Got word that Oconee was muddy so we decided to go to Blackshear. We put in at the state park and headed to the channel. The water was slightly stained but not bad. We started in the 22-26 foot of water but only caught fish when we were in the 12-14 foot of water so we decided to fish shallower and glad we did. The fish were lot shallower than we thought.......then we headed to Collins Branch and fished the channel and caught fish in the 25 foot water. Temps was 58 degrees and Acid Rain was a good color. Beautiful day .....cloudy/cool/no wind.

Great report. I thought that looked like a stick steer boat! I bought a Duracraft 1648 stick steer this spring and I love it so far. I'm learning to avoid rough open water which is it's only shortfall. Couple of my less mobile buddies like it too.
Still got some of your jigs and used then with success at Lake Secession on our fall Crappiefest.

Good report. I enjoyed the pictures and the info. Acid rain worked for us today also. We fished Oconee.

Actually, I think the mouth of Sugar was clearer today than last week. It might be to clear.
