    Default Savannah Area information

I live in Kentucky but my sister lives in Sandfly near Savannah. I visit a couple times a year and am wondering if it is worth dragging the boat down there the next time I make the trip. I know there is lots of salt and brackish water to be fished but I am not too keen on that idea. I have checked the map and don’t see any crappie water anywhere around. Am I missing something or is the area strictly a salt water area ?

Hello Clint !, you have not missed anything. If I want to go crappie fishing I go to the many ponds at Ft Stewart in Hinesville. Clint I live about five miles from Sanfly heading west on Ferguson Ave. when you come call me and I will try to meet up with you. I will send you a pm with my phone number. there are crappie in the Ogeechee river BUT you must go above HW. 204 at Morgans bridge a good ways. the salt water fishing is on fire right now, red fish[red drum] and speckled trout. have a safe trip! Mr. Jimmy

Got it. I'll give you a call before I make the next visit to find out what tackle to bring. I have tackle from a 2 wt flyrod to surf casting gear. Thanks!
