Thread: Cold Morning on Oconee

Me and Netgirl longlined on Oconee yesterday morning until about noon. Fish were a little picky but we managed to catch around 2 dozen and kept 15 quality fish for the grease throwing back anything under 10" for seed. Overall a decent morning considering the high winds and cold front.

Great report. I went to Oconee Friday 10/15/15, Caught about 6 crappie and 6 small catfish. Only one crappie was of any size. The cold front was just coming in and the wind got heavy. Fished between Blue springs and mansion cove at 4 sites. The bite was very soft. Water temp was around 70 degrees.

Tell me about it! Picked my customers up at their house at long shoals...ran up the lake cause nothing was happening on that end! Got to out regular spots and caught fish right away! Had an afternoon trip that was real nice! light wind and just shorts and a light hoody.... fish bit much better in the pm trolling jigs....Emily was all smiles after a few of these....I had to hold the fish for the pic....She was convinced it was gonna bite her!!! HAHHAHAHA

Oconee s on my bucket list. Hopefully I will make it there this season. Nice catches! Thx.
