Default Thanks for all the welcomes

I have been up at the lake this weekend and away from the computer so a big thank you to all that replied with a welcome. I had about the same luck as usual with the crappie. Caught a few, but not a lot. I did not go away empty handed, though, as the hybrids kept me busy both catching them and re-tying when they broke my lines. Caught perch of both white and yellow variety. Also caught a few bass throwing a crank bait when I saw them schooling. The crappie I did catch were big and still full of eggs. I think in the middle part of the Hill, the crappie are just starting to hit the banks and next week should be very good for those getting away from Augusta for Masters week.

    please say hello.

220 crosses at Soap Creek and I have not fished there this year but I probably should have. I fished the lake further down this past weekend and the water was still clear. The main lake had really warmed up with the temp at about 70F and some of the creeks up to 75F. I really did not try to crappie fish and there was lots of boat traffic. I caught hybrids trolling bucktail jigs and the bass fishing has been really good. Let us know how you do and thanks for the welcome.

Didn't do so good at soap creek, weather wind and rain keep me off the water a good bit and got skunked
for what little time i was out.
Left my boat over there and hope to be back and try again in a couple weeks,
    How did you do?

I did not go this past weekend primarily due to the weather. Did not hear any crappie reports from that area, but the bass and hybrids were still active as the creeks were full of blueback herring.
