Thread: Lake Lanier

Thanks looking forward to your reports, I've got to where i don't go to lanier on account of traffic and the
boating cop's. While i think there is a need for them, they keep fishing in the wrong holes.

While there checking all my stuff there are several speed hulls,jet ski's, etc. that go flying by with folks drinking.
Sorry for the rant, got carried away cause they ran me off over to clark hill.

Always wanted to fish Lanier, but didn't know where to start. Thanks for the info.

Last Friday I went up to the northern part of the chattahoochee near Don Carter State Park the water temp was in the high 50 and it looked like it would be prime. There were plenty of crappie, just no slabs.

Saturday I went back to my holes on the Little River creek. What temp was 56 degrees Surprising as beautiful a day it was, there were very few bass fisherman buzzing me. I started before the fog lifted and didn't even get all my lines in when when one of my poles bowed in half. Just after getting all my poles in I had another big hit. This one fought hard. When I finally got him to the surface, I noticed he was hooked on my high hook. He was a big slab. When I went net him and lift him higher, their was a twin on the bottom hook. Got them both in the boat it was the start of a good day. I caught 16 in the morning, and only one of them was under 1 pound. Not to mention a 2.5 pound large mouth that ate both hooks. The wife was happy and promised to send me fishing again
