    Default Sinclair 3-15-15

took my son and a friend of his to sinclair yesterday..... I told them that this crappie/spider rigging thing was all new to me but they were eager to get on the water....spent the 1st 4.5 hours running around with NOTHING to show for it...then we headed up Rooty creek, started seeing stuff stacked up on the creek channels going towards the back of some of the larger coves....low and behold, just when I was about to call it quits and throw all of this spider rig stuff over the side, the poles went to bouncing..over the next 2.5 hours the boys probably landed 45 fish, with many missed fished do to young boys not paying attention and "rod holder malfunctions" as I would call them, where the rod was bouncing up and down and the boys couldnt get the rods out of the holder!!!!
....I kept the ones large enuff to fillet, so we came home with 25 fairly decent sized crappie

Water up Rooty Creek was stained in the main Creek with a heavier stain in the back of the coves, water temps ranged from 58 in the morning to 62 in the afternoon

we were spider rigging from .3 to .6 mph ....we used minnows all day

we did pick up 3 of the nicer fish out in the channel, they were suspended in about 14' of water over a 19 foot bottom, but the majority of the fish we caught were in 9-11 foot of water
