    Default West Point report

Any one been to West Point recently? Curious as to water temps. Heading out for the week of March 22-29. I'm afraid we'll be too late with the recent warm temperatures.

Went last Saturday water was 50 degrees when we started 59 when we left. Caught a limit of average fish nothing to brag about. Threw back a ton of three finger and smaller fish.

Thanks for the info. Caught longline trolling? I bet this week they will be on fire--might already be.

Going in the morning with my son and one of his friends. I'll let you know good or bad. I found some last week but was mostly catching males, hoping this week the females will be there. Last week all the bigger fish I caught were still out in the channel. You got out of the channel and you started catching more fish but they were small. Don't know what this rain is going to do to them.

Went by myself today... didn't get there until almost noon, but by 4 I had caught about 50. I brought home 28 that were good size. They're still not on the banks yet, but they're holding in about 12 fow off the main channels. Dixie creek was producing good. Color really didn't matter.

Thanks for the report. Doesn't sound like a bad day at all. Glad they're not on the banks yet. Maybe we haven't missed them yet.

We got on the water about 11:00. Fished till about 3:30. Caught about 20 and 6 stripers. Fish were kinda small, only kept 10 around 10". We put in at Georgia access and went down the lake. Water was 56 when we left. Seen several others fishing the banks with no luck. We were still fishing the channels.
