We had about as good a day as I could have imagined. Overcast, cool but not cold and a slight breeze from the west. Water color was perfect with no trash. There were old friends, new acquaintances and several characters on the water today. Oh and did I mention the fish? I'm pretty sure I have never caught a 2 man limit without a single dink, but we did today. It was not fast and furious and we had to change tactics all day, but we were rewarded by slab after slab. We culled one fish and that was trading a 3/4 pounder for a 1.5 pounder. Shout out to Litewire Hooker. The fish were pounding those jig heads with the willow leaf blades. I'm probably going to need some more.

We were in Sugar creek. They were scattered everywhere, but generally in 12-15 feet of water. Part of the time they were up and part of the time they were on the bottom hanging with the channel cats.

Doug, I will be interested to see how those fish act with the sun out. Will they move up or will they stay put and go deeper.? Let me know what happens.
