I plan to start at Beaverdam in the morning and if that doesn't work out I will probably finish the day in Rooty.

For what its worth I was told yesterday some slabs were caught shooting docks in the mud near Opimist Island earlier this week.

Fish were scattered and deep Friday, but as nasty as the weather was I don't blame them. We did manage 15 keepers and a bunch of dinks, just had to work for them

We stayed in Beaverdam Creek until about noon and, caught four dinks and hung a cat that looked like it would go about ten pounds but he straightened the hook.

We spent the rest of the day in the back end of Rooty Creek. We caught a bunch of dinks and ended up bringing home 32 crappie,11 white bass, and one channel cat.

The water in both places was stained. The surface temperature started off at 58 and almost reached 65 around 5:00 pm. We pulled 3/32 oz. jigs with curly tails and 1/6 oz. Hal Flies at 1.0 -1.3 mph in 8-15 feet of water. The wind picked up several times and made controlling the boat difficult.

The dark colors produced best until afternoon. Then the curly tails in red/metal flake green/orange, red/bubble gum, orange/fluorescent orange, and punk/acid rain worked well with the red/ metal flake green/orange accounting for probably a quarter of the afternoon catch.
