Does anyone know how many feet they will take Blackshear down? when is a good time to hit it after it is down?

They will be letting it down 3 1/2 feet and hold it at that depth until Dec 15th. This is what the people at the power damn told me. Now to me it sure looks like its down more than that. I am not sure how they will be biting during the drawn down but I do know that they usually are on fire after it gets down. I just might go before the week is out after seeing what Crappielimits has said. He's a better fisherman than me so I think I may try it. The people at the power damn also told me that it should be all the way down by Thursday afternoon. ANd I totally agree with Crappielimits about being safe. The best ramps to use are the Smoak Bridge ramp and the main ramp at the park that on Gum creek.
Does anyone know if you can use the new ramps at the park?
justfish......I'd say probably not on the new ramps. They are pretty shallow and aggravating when full pool to me, especially if you are solo.

i would use the old ramp not sure about the new one . or smoke bridge .
retired and now i will always fish
I have used the old ramp during drawdowns.
i went out at smoak bridge with my six year old son and it was just fine. Just be careful by the old railroad trusses very low.
