Default Last Trip (3 - 10 May) with Pics

Made a trip to Talquin and the bite and weather was good. Heavy rains caused the upper end to be a little stained but the fish were still there and hungry. We fished from Boy Scout to Little River and caught few fish everywhere. Even went to the lilly pads and jigged the hair jigs with success. The larger fish were in the 13-15 feet of water but there were lots of fish in the 7- 10 foot of water. Pick a pattern and stay with it and it worked. Met up with certain guide from Lake Oconee and he did good job catching fish. We were longlining litewirehooks and Southern Pro Curley Tails. Here are a few pics

Good job guys and gals. Proves that crappie fishing is good when it gets hot.

Nice catches Curtis, this old Kansas boy enjoyed fishing with you in Feb. Will be getting with you for more of those lightwire hooks, we like them here in the Midwest.
