Default Oconee Spring Thing Just About Over??

Hey Guys, What a spring crappie fishing season this has been! The weather was terrible, but I think it allowed us to fish deeper into the spring. In my years of guiding I have never taken customers out as late as this year. Also, I can't remember a spring season when we had so many big fish! I think all but 2 trips we landed at least one fish over 2 pounds! However, it looks like the stripers have began to show up, so now I must bid the crappie adieu until the summertime. HOWEVER, I am going to stay on this forum because last year when I left it for a the season, people were giving rods away, having fish cookouts, giving free jigs, going on fishing trips to Florida, and not letting me know (not gonna mention no names but their initials are Countrytime and Mr. Quick) ALSO I think Big Earl is gonna show me how to shoot dem docks real soon, since Jigslinger is too busy mixing slobber love potion to call me!! Seriously, How was everyones' spring season on Oconee??

I got a few emails, so I should explain! I have always pushed jigs, and Jody and Earl, have lured me over to the "dark side" of pulling. I finally started doing it full bore at the beginning of April. I have been calling Jody "Lord Vader" because he was constantly trying to get me to join the dark side. He would buy me jigs from Curtis, grubs, line, etc, just tempting me to do it. Unlike Luke Skywalker, I caved and now have joined the rest of the force. I found this silly picture some time ago and told Jody, It fully expresses our relationship this crappie season. Its been fun. Sorry Curtis about posting late. Been real busy but I have stayed in touch with dem Cochran fellers!!
