    Default West Point upriver 2-24-14

Jumped on the water for a short trip after work yesterday. Caught 20 in a little over an hour up near Franklin. Had a handful of nice slabs. Also had a mess of white bass and a couple small stripers. They all mix together this time of year in the river and you can catch all three on consecutive casts.

Mix of different colors all worked but Black/blue/chart 2" curly tails on 1/16 oz heads probably caught a few more. Fish were all holding on current seams.

Water temps were 53 in the main flow and found near 60 in a pocket off river. The big females were full of eggs and it won't be long before they head to the banks. They were actually in a nice staging area for the spawn.
