Dad and I hit WP yesterday before this cold front came in. Fished 1:30 - 6:30. Spent our time looking for dirty water in Wehadkee and Veasey creeks. Fish were in about 10-12 FOW eating pretty shallow. We long-lined mostly. Pink/purple and black/chart seemed to work the best. Caught about 20 on the first drop with 10 of them being 9"+ (big enough to take a swim in the livewell). We fished this spot for about an hour - and for 15 minutes of that time the sun came out and man was the bite on. Once the clouds moved back in the bite slowed and these other fellas started trying to troll on top of us so we went looking for bigger fish.

Never found the hot bite again but marked some good spots. We stayed right on top of one of those marks until dad finally got one to bite - a nice 14" (pic) I thought was a small hybrid when it first showed. Overall a good day for being our first time in those creeks. Found some good spots and learned a lot. Looking forward to getting back after them.
