My brother-in-law is itching to go fishing. The Ocmulgee's too full/muddy, so he's wanting to try Blackshear. What do y'all think, will it be halfway normal next Monday? I don't get over there often enough myself to know that much about it, but my suspicion is it will need a little more time...

Smoaks Bridge is looking ok but the main lake was clearing up but another mud line has moved in but I will go look at it tomorrow and let you know
It needed some stain, but I think the fresh colder water hurt it more than the mud. If you go try the mouths of Cedar, Swift, Collins, and Spring on the deep ledges. The creeks will be a little clearer than the main lake river run. Creeks mouths may be a couple degrees warmer too. Whatever you decide, fish slow and bright colors tipped with a minnow and soaked in Slab Slobber. When they are sluggish, sight and smell matter as much as anything. The minnow is just insurance.

Passed over Blackshear today on my way to Albany. Definitely stained, but not too bad. Nothing like Sinclair's Chocolate Milk color.
