    Don't dismiss the the old mealworms...I can't tell you how many times I've been loading up my $1500 boat and next to me is mr.sho nuff crappie thumper in his 40,000dollar crappie boat, a store bought shirt with every jig brand under the sun plastered all over it.......and he's telling his buddy how the fish for tomorrow's fish fry will have to be bought from Kroger on the way home.(wonder if those guys are member here?)

    Congrats on the Crappie Picture Redeye. That is a new state record crappie. I sent the picture to GON. They should to contact you for the story.

    Yes, I also fish with meal worms. They work great on Bream when hooked mid body and fish with no sinker which lets it settle down slowly. Caught a limit of Redear last April with them.

    Thanks Danbo......far from a record,but a good creek crappie.(3.1lb.)done put the fillet knife to him and he should be good with these miller lites later today.

    WOW....It just keeps gettin deeper...I'd hate to think what whild things we would hear if we were cooped up all winter like the Northern boys....Prob a 17 lb muskie on 2 lb line pulled through a 6" hole in the ice caught on a ...well...A MEAL WORM!!!!
