I was at oconee today. Had good results also. Most were caught in less than 6ft. Started mid lake caught a few. Moved up richland and it was on..One of those days u look down and u realize u only have one pole in the water and five or so fish around your feet. FUN FUN!!

Yes Sir they are biting. Lake is full of trash floating all over, limbs big enough for pulpwood. Fished Monday afternoon and had 43 keepers. Fished today and had 57 keepers. No real braggers, just good eating fish. You will have to sort thru a bunch of dinks and hybrids ripping up your stuff. Temps on Richland side was 70-74 depending on water depth. Oconee side today was 61 when I picked up at 1930 today. Had a few fish that were in the 1.25 most were about 3/4-1.0 lb. I just pulled jigs and picked up fish in side coves way up Richland, you know where bird watchers. Colors John Deere, Acid Rain, Lemon, Wally World, Firetail, almost anything. Clean trash off jig, catch a fish, clean again then clean some more. Going home for a few days and have a fish fry. Good luck everyone, have fun.

Where's richland Creek? I know sugar and lick creeks. The last couple times I've been it hasn't been so good. I'm planning on going to granite shoals in the morning. I hope the ramp is still open. Seems like I remember someone saying it closed not long ago.
To heck with work, lets go fishing.

Granite is definitely closed and ramp chain locked. Richland is the other arm of Lake Oconee where Double Branches, Rocky, Sandy, Beaver Dam creeks run into.
You can use Armor Bridge GPC public ramp which is on Richland across from mouth of Beaver Dam creek where Granite is located.

I ordered a new prop and it should be in today or tomorrow. It is killing me to be at work, but state government is busy right now. Every morning on my way to work, I drive past that little lake where the state record white crappie came from and I see the dogwoods blooming and the greenery busting out everywhere and even though the grass is knee deep, I think it can wait one more week.

Someone cut the chain off the driveway this weekend and I think it got the Harbor Club folks blood boiling. They've replaced with a cattle gate now!
