Coosa River report Ga. side
The Crappie have been on their annual run upriver since Ocb last fall. Numerous trips sinse then to present were lacking of numbers and size. My biggest was 2lb.2oz. Caught probaly 12-15 crappie in the 12-14in. range. Probaly 100 plus in the 6-8 inch range. Im hoping this rain will slow the run down and probaly will push fish in feeder creeks-coves-oxbows. River should be fairly safe this weekend to navigate. Shouldnt be long till they will be staging in areas close to where they will spawn. Hurry up Spring!

Thankful- Thanks for the invite. I have a suiuation here at home that I have to take one day at a time as you know how it gets trying to care for the elderly in immediate family. My wife and I take care of her elderly sister and I have to pick spur of the moment trips closeby. I hope you understand my suituation. Has Toona got to normal level yet. Weiss came up to full pool but they have dropped it back 4 ft this week. I hope they dont screw up the spawn with flutuating water levels. Enjoy seeing all the posts state-wide and looks like Toona is back for real. Ive seen a a few posts on another site with some good catches for Crappie on Alatoona. Looking forward to seeing you post some trips and sharing your catch. BB

Bb , thanks for the report . Been trying to find a day to cut loose and head over that way . Know what you mean about watching family . Fortunately mine has been the grandkids . Can;t wait for them to get old enough to go with me on the river.
