A couple times a year I will got out just to stretch the line out by running the boat at idle speed and letting all the line out on the reels. Then a while after the second time I just replace the line. Works great.Originally Posted by pop_r

I been using a little Abu Garcia Cardinal 100. Actually I use to use it and the cheap little shakespear ultralight rod its on for trout fishing back before I got bit by the crappie addiction. Works great shooting docks for me. Think I paid $39.99 for it.

Walmart had Mitchell Avocet II for $17 yesterday. I picked up one to try. Figure for that price It wouldnt hurt as a backup. I lined it last night and I have a feeling it will be a birds nest kinda reel too. Hope I'm wrong!

I tried the reel yesterday in my pond, shoots really good and smooth. Got about an additional 10 feet compared to my other reels,no bird nest yet.

I'm gettin one of those POP guns from bass pro and really Shoot it under there! Hell, I'll be widdlin down wine corks for AMMO / Slip cork combos!!! That would be a sight!!!!!!!
