This past Thursday my fishing buddy and I, along with Patch { Patch is a true fishing dog} arrived at the lake around 7:15 am and cast off! First, we tried trolling near the boat ramp in 6' -8', then to 10' to 15' water with the temp. @ 78.9. No luck at this site except for a few strikes'. Moved to another site around the same depth. My buddy whom I'll call fisherman Jack and his co-hort Patch did catch a couple of crappie's around the size of your hand [no keeper's]! Anyway, the day was a great day for fishing however, it just wasn't to catch fish! But, as the saying goes' "any day fishing is a good day", still stand's.

We will try Russell next time!

Yes, the water temp is dropping and the water was alittle stained, we were in the north end!

Man that auto correct is something else
It won't be long before that turnover occurs, then wait till it settles. Lots of people are having a rough time right now, of course except for Butch.

Dereck, it's turning over now. Catching fish in or near the shallows is tough as it's bubbling everywhere and has that slimey oil look on top. I'm taking a couple weeks off to let this thing straighten out. Dangit1, shoot me a PM. We should be bumping into each other if youre fishing the upper end of CH and lake Russell.
