    Default Blackshear Report 9-13-12

Finally after almost 2 months I got to go out and try for some slabs today on Lake Blackshear. Had to catch a bunch of little ones to get a few big ones. Had my dad with me and we ended up with around 15 but we cought about 20 or 25. I say we had 5 big enough for a tourney weigh in. Was fishing in 28 to 31ft of water and seemed like fish were hanging between 12 and 26ft. We were tight lining minnows. Was back at the house by 10:30am cause the wind was getting to my dad. Gonna try it again tomorrow with my friend Mitch. Will hopefully have a better report. Oh by the way the spot we cought them at is between the damn and 280 bridge.

That sounds good Rusty. With all of your knowledge of Lake Blackshear, you should do really well..............Don't pay any attention to that rope hanging off the back of your boat on tourney morning!!

Craig, Randy and I will be tied to the back of yours so i gues that will be three in a row! Make sure you and Rusty have your trolling batteries fully charged in case ours die.

Dadgumit Rusty! LMAO........just make sure the ropes are over 25' long between the boats! I heard that one dock was big enough for 4 boats. He had a bunch of tree tops stacked on the deck to drop last week too. Should be really good by next weekend. At least I will know where to find everyone so I can get pictures for the web site.
