I agree about docks on Lanier and also about going up the river, but would add vertical fishing brush piles. Use electronics to find the isolated brush. You may have some in mind that you have bass fished. These piles will hold your larger slabs. Keep a close eye on electronics when dock shooting as many docks have brush around them. A dock may cast shade over a large brush pile that has more algea and plankton and the fish may be there instead of under the dock. Just be open minded and pick apart your area. I have also did well longlining and pushing on Lanier. Good luck and post pics of results we love pictures.
