Its a good idea to check your prop every other trip or so. Please do not throw loose line in the water, it can ruin many marine products and kill wildlife.

Shine you must fish in some NASTY WATER>I check impeller also never any line.SO FAR

There was mono line and braid and some kind of grass all twisted up. Don't know how it was even turning. Really quick and simple to do.
Just took foot control apart and cleaned it too. Lot of grime build up. Now to re-spool all the reels!

Yep, I had some around my prop. Checked Trolling Motor also, but no line this time.

Yep, one of my fishing buddies is never happy till he gets in the trolling motor at least once on every fishing trip, so I'm used to checking it. Some times he's in it every time I turn around.
Did mine last week, 3 of 4 props had line.
I check mine twice per year. If you ever drop a lower unit for lack of oil, you will also.
