Default Jackson today with mr.Earl K.

Today I had privilege to fish with Earl kitchens ...equivalent to fishing with Bill Dance in my book! We hit almost every spot I know that's supposed to always hold numerous fish but today it was like one fish per hole. I keep trying to come up with a legitimate excuse for the fish not biting today but can't come up nothing other than water clear as tap water.but we still had good time and told some good stories! To me jackson is best december- april ...bad as I hate to say it, may be time to break out the catfish poles and trotlines ...except for getting ready for blackshear in sept!
However we wasn't skunked still caught a few!

Glad you had a good time with earl ( bill dance ) . You would think with the rain we had the water would have been muddy. That's still some nice specks. hope you didnt give up all the good spots.

75% of my best spots are 10 feet from the water right now ...maybe good spots for squirrel hunting, don't seem like there ever gone fill lake back up!

I know what you mean...and as low as te lakes are now just think what they can look like late summer this year. Might be another early 90's all over again. I hope not though.

Glad you and Earl caught some fish. Looks like a few good ones in the pile too. Congrats.

Thanks Richard. I enjoyed yesterday afternoon. This year has been tough everywhere. I might have to come back up there when they put some water back into the lake. I am sure those crappie are holding tight to brush and trash piles in deeper water. I do believe you could push jigs tipped with minnows over structure and load the boat.
The advice LIGHTWIRE gave me was to stay home and save my money!! Just kidding.

Hey that would have been pretty good advice yesterday! I think Oconee has spoiled us lately, if we don't catch 80-100 its a bad day!
