Call me if you need a partner on afternoon. I can be at Jackson in about thirty minutes.

Sounds like a very busy morning. Those whole fryers will be some good eating...just a pain to clean. Congrats on the catch.

Earl sounds like you and cuz had a fun day. Them slabs are in there. Just gotta get to them. There usually hanging out deep under those dinks. And real tight to the posts. It's hard to get the jig to them when there is a hundred little ones. Last time jigslinger and I were out there it seemed like you had to pull 30 dinks out before you got a true slab. It was the same on every dock we hit. When your catching numbers like that it's hard to move on to another spot in search of the slabs.

A sure way to catch alot of dinks is shoot it and imeadiatly start retrieving a steady almost fast retrieve!
sometimes if you shoot it and just let it lay there like you catfishing a big one will pick it up.

I shoot as far back as possible and let the jig fall. If I do not get a thump I either slowly retrieve it, twitch it or make it hop up and down. Cuz usually just retrieves it. I always work the jig by a post or structure if possible. I have caught crappie by the foot of many boat motors also. I do not like the boat racks at Oconee. If you can find a pontoon boat that never gets moved they will produce also. I have caught as many out from under pontoon boats at Jackson as I have out from under docks.

That's for sure. I love the docks on Jackson. And how most of the pontoons are in the water. Lots of shade for them to hideout
